Play as Your Favorite Monsters
You'll get to choose among your favorite monsters from the movie as you use each of their distinct skills to battle alien robots and save the world. Each monster gives a different game play experience, and figuring out who to use for specific parts of the game is part of the challenge and fun.

The Missing Link, the half-fish and half-ape monster, can scale walls and do acrobatics. He possesses the brute force to beat up most enemies by bashing and using his tail as a whip. B.O.B. is gelatinous and can stretch and bounce, stick to walls, and swallow and spit out enemies and objects. B.O.B. can get to hard-to-reach places by seeping through grates and cracks. Insectosaurus is 350-feet tall, shoots silk, and has a sonic scream, making her indispensable for fighting giant robots. Ginormica is enormous, can race through cities using cars for roller skates, and can fight entire armies. Dr. Cockroach, PhD gives missions and has a slew of gadgets used to fight the aliens.

Explore Locations in the Movie and More
Locations from the movie have been recreated in the game, which also features game-exclusive areas. You'll have a blast exploring the nooks and crannies of the different environments. There are 20 distinct levels to explore including Gallaxher's mothership, the streets of San Francisco, and the super secret government containment area.

Second Player Can Drop In at Any Time
If a friend walks in and wants to join in on the fun, he only needs to pick up a controller and can drop in on the action by playing as Dr. Cockroach PhD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Game November 8, 2011

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
My 6 year old boy had no problem installing and playing this game. I don't know what went wrong with the other reviewers' computers, but you do have to have a DVD ROM and a decent video card (Requires ATi Radeon X800 128mb RAM or NVDIA GeForce 6600, so that may be part of it. On XP, it didn't automatically start itself for install, but we just went and clicked on the file manually and it was fine. It works on both our Windows XP and Windows 7 computers. He loves Monsters vs. Aliens and loves everything about this PC game. It has super duper graphics, sound, and matches the movie perfectly! This one will not disappoint.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great game for certain audiences October 12, 2009
Platform for Display:PC
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This game was a hit with my seven year old son. The tutorials were fine and the levels were varied enough. You play any of three monsters depending on the level. One of the better movie adaptations.

Pros: Good design, no hiccups on XP, nice tutorials
Cons: Tricky keyboard shortcuts. Has a small age window 7-12 years old, that will find it fun. Too easy after 13, too hard before 6.

Other: Graphics are nice and should be ok on a decent graphic machine. Im sure some of the negative reviews come form entry level PCs with onboard graphics.

1.0 out of 5 stars Another Sucker, but this time an innocent child lost $$ October 22, 2010

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
My son just went through two brain surgeries and we were in the hospital for 5 weeks. One of his grandparent's friend's gave him a gift card for Amazon.com and he was soooooo excited about buying his own games for his computer. Now just like two of the other three reviews the game does not work on his computer. The computer does not even recognize the disk as being in the drive! What upsets me is that this was not my money that got wasted but my child's money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR (or your child's) MONEY ON THIS!
