This is the final episode of the Montana Trilogy. Though the three books stand alone, familiar characters move through their stories until this one wraps them all up. Originally Destiny was about 25,000 words longer, but it was cut due to the high cost of paper. If I had the first manuscript, I would've added back those pages, but it must ever remain one of the lost manuscripts.
Charlie Houston is my favorite heroine because she is tough enough to stand up to the challenges of the raw frontier and hang on to what is hers, no matter the consequences. I like writing about strong, determined women because I admire them so much. That's why I prefer to place my stories in the old west, where women had to be twice as resilient as men to survive the dangers of life there.
Charlie's destiny is to love a man wanted by the law, a man who has learned how to stand tall for what he believes in, even when everything is against him.
