This was the first book I have ever read by Lisa Jackson, and it may be my last. Both of these stories are about two brothers, Denver and Colton McLean. Basically, the McLean family gets royally screwed over by both of the heroines families: Tessa Kramer, and Cassie Aldridge. The crimes that were done against the McLean family weren't petty stuff either. Rather then having their families face justice they only get slapped on the wrist, and Tessa and Cassie continue to make excuses for what was done to the McLean family. Cassie even threatend to call off her wedding if Colton pressed charges against her dad. It was enough to make me roll my eyes at the book over and over. The storylines aren't that good, and the heroes, who started off by having a backbone, caved in the end when it came to sticking to their guns to see justice served for their family. I would not recommend this book to anyone; its overly priced, and not worth it.

ALL I CAN SAY IS, IF YOU OPEN A LISA JACKSON BOOK YOU WON'T QUIT TILL YOU ARE DONE. SHE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS. I READ A LOT, AND NINE TIMES OUT OF TEN I WILL PICK UP ONE OF HER BOOKS. AND IN A YEAR I READ THEM AGAIN. ENJOY THESE BOOKS A LOT
