Really enjoyed both stories in the selection; Montana Mavericks Weddings.

The Bride Who Was Stolen in the Night by Diana Palmer: Classic Palmer style that helped establish her fan base. A tension-filled romance that left you wishing the end would never arrive. Wonderful western romance...really enjoyed this story.

Cowgirl Bride by Susan Mallery finished the book in top style. A wide range of emotions complimented this wonderful romantic read. Susan's and Diana's writing style went hand-in-hand perfectly to make this a great buy!

The Montana Mavericks series is wonderful, and I've diligently been going through the each mini-series. While I enjoyed these 2 stories, it was very frustrating that they left out the original "middle" story. The print copy for Montana Mavericks Weddings included a book titled "Bride, Baby, and All" by Ann Major. There is no e-book available that includes all three stories, and you can't buy the ommitted story by itself. Which means, if I want to read Kirk and Felicity's story (which is alluded to in the first book of this series) I have to buy a hardback that includes all three books. Really wish they had kept the original "3 Part Anthology" when it came to e-book format. Other than that, the stories were cute "mini" reads.

Great book. Enjoyed the stories, I bought the book for the 1st story. I read the first chapter and had to read the rest of the story. Both stories were well written. I laughed in places and cried in others. I have read many books and this one is a keeper.

Both these stories were released in 1998 and it shows. These are two good authors who since then have both had much better books than this. They weren't bad, they just weren't good enough to inspire me to read them again.

The Bride Who Was Stolen In The Night by Diana Palmer gives us Abby Turner, a young woman preparing to marry a man she doesn't love so she can get over the man she truly does love. Chayse Derringer is more than ten years older than Abby and has been her guardian since she was young. She has loved him since she was a teenager and after one forbidden interlude between the too, Chayce vows to stay away from her since he feels it's wrong and he can't resist her. When he sees her again after four years, she is on the verge of getting married. Will he finally give in to his feelings, or allow her to make the worst mistake of her life? Abby seemed weak to me and I just didn't buy it that she "sobbed" and begged in Chase's arms whenever he touched her. Chayce seemed cold, demanding and possessive... I guess the two characters just didn't appeal to me. Also, the title is misleading... she isn't "stolen" in the night... she willingly agrees to go.

Cowgirl Bride by Susan Mallery is a little better. Sierra Conroy is a wrangler with a broken heart. Ten years earlier, Dylan McLaine promised undying love, then married another woman leaving Sierra so shattered her heart has barely recovered all these years later. So when a divorced Dylan moves back to town with a 10 year old son claiming that he never stopped loving her and wants to begin all over again, Sierra has to decide whether to open her scarred heart for a second time. Is she willing to risk it all for a chance at love again? The premise is a little far fetched, but the characters are appealing and I couldn't help hoping that Sierra would give Dylan another chance.

A solid three stars for Montana Mavericks Weddings.

I wouldn't spend my time during the day reading this book, but it's relaxing reading for bedtime.
I have read several of Susan Mallery's books & all of Diana Palmer's.

I enjoyed both stories. I love having two stories in one book. They were your typical romance stories, but nice to read when there's nothing to do.

This was not one of her better books. I love the way she writes. I just don't like her premise that women can't take care of themselves and are looking for a father figure to marry. The much older man, younger woman scenario is more reminiscent of the 40s and 50s than today.
