Daring, bold and explosive! Surpasses all expectations!,

This review is from: Montauk Book of the Dead (Paperback)
Peter Moon, author of Sky Books' newest book, The Montauk Book Of The Dead, has surpassed all expectations in this autobiographical account of his amazing life's journey and synchronistic events leading up to what was destined to become The Montauk Project: Experiments In Time - Moon's first book which set the world on fire in 1992!The author, whose latest paperback plays host to sixty-one information packed chapters (including a few mind-bending transmissions from a parallel universe) takes the reader on an eye-opening and thought provoking odyssey into his adventures and experiences with Dianetics, Scientology, the legendary L. Ron Hubbard as well as powerful symbolisms laced like a golden thread through the path of his life. Of all the people I have ever met in the paranormal, metaphysical, ufological or supernatural arenas, Peter Moon is the only person I know who actually had the opportunity to meet and work with L. Ron Hubbard and his personal staff for several years. And if it's fair and balanced objectivity you want, you've come to the right book. No punches are pulled in The Montauk Book Of The Dead as approximately thirty-eight chapters are devoted to Moon's personal accounts with Dianetics as well as his spiritual, social and political narratives regarding Scientology's historical significance on a global scale, past and present. Peter Moon's perspective on his formative years in childhood, as well as his accomplishments with Scientology, is what lays the groundwork for the latter part of the book as the reader gains some powerful insights on how the author was destined to eventually cross paths with paranormal synchronicities and occult symbolisms rooted in The Montauk Project of Long Island. Twelve years and fourteen books later, it seems that such a destiny has proven itself many times over to be genuine, authentic and down-to-earth. The rest is history. Speaking of history, I suggest you pay very close attention to the book's closing chapters as they delve into a condensed yet highly riveting account of what a Moorish American is, where they actually come from and what their rightful claims are to the United States of America. The Montauk Book Of The Dead, the latest edition in a landmark series of books exploring controversial, paranormal and historical issues emanating from The Montauk Project, represents part one in a two-part saga. Part two is slated for release in 2006 as the much anticipated The Montauk Book Of The Living.

mainly an extended teaser but great info at the end,
This review is from: Montauk Book of the Dead (Paperback)
Most of this book is a yawn-making personal history of the author's 11 years deep in the Scientology Church. There are a lot of anecdotes and a number of references to the extensive training Moon received, but no amazing information - unless you persevere long enough to get to the last 70 pages or so. If you are interested in esoteric / occult information there are plenty of well-presented secrets divulged at the end (although they do not appear to be related to Scientology) - enough to make the purchase price of this otherwise tedious book worthwhile. One reviewer claims that you need to read through the Moon books in sequence in order to understand them, and I have. There are in fact seven books based around the depraved Montauk Project: the first three are a trilogy called "Montauk Project", "Montauk Revisited", "Pyramids of Montauk" in that order. Thereafter there were four more: "The Black Sun", "Synchronicity and the Seventh Seal", "Montauk Book of the Dead" and "Montauk Book of the Living", in that order. There were enough nuggets in each of the books that I did not regret the cost, either financial or timewise. However, I rather believe that the last one - "The Montauk Book of the Living" - is the most worthwhile: one that truly repays several careful read-throughs. If you are pushed for either time or money (as most of us are) and/or do not enjoy working through a very extended series of mystery books, just read the first one "The Montauk Project" (contains shocking information but is very disjointed), then "Synchronicity and the Seventh Seal" which serves up a good amount of clearly explained occult information, and the last one (I have reviewed it too). If you then feel you need to read the others, you can backtrack. You will almost certainly want to re-read both "Synchronicity and the Seventh Seal" and "The Montauk Book of the Living" at some point, probably sooner than later, as they are so rich. One caution: the books are all irritatingly badly written, but the clearly explained occult information justifies the effort.

If you are into L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology Peter Moon gives you all you need to know in this book. 4/5 of this book is about L. Ron Hubbard & Scientology 1/5 of the book (the last few chapters) are about Noble Drew Ali & the Moorish Science movement. Peter Moon also makes people cognizant of the hereditary relationship between so called native North American "INDIANS" and Africans from West and Northwest Africa namely the "Moors". Traditional M.S.T. Temple members might find the information radical. But I find it compelling and it warrants further research.

I am not sure why or how I read this entire book. I think partly, it was because I was stuck in a truck on an 11 hour drive to West Virginia for a ski trip. In between bouts of cabin fever where I would burst out singing "Country Roads" to wake everyone up and trying to get comfortable in the trucks bucket seats, I read this book. Page after page, expecting something, anything. I guess I was mislead by the title. There is more history of Scientology in this book than anything else. What happened to Ron Hubbard? If you want to know, this book will definitly not tell you. No one knows the truth probably as now everything with Scientology's history has become distorted. And NO, I am not a Scientologist, I stumbled upon this book by accident and simply gave it a fair day in court. I thought it would have more esoteric value, something interesting that I wasn't aware of, something "cooler"... But, alas... The beggining was meager, the middle was meager and the ending was most meager. A great book use as a tool to battle insomnia or brush up on the history of Scientology; but that's about it. I just wish there were more honest/realistic reviews on here before I read it. (which was about 2 years ago)

An amazing book- this is mostly the author"s autobiography and spends a lot of its"s time when he is in the Sea Org during the seventies. He knew LRH personally and I regard it as an important historical document because of it. If you are pro or anti scientoloy or even if you"re just pro or anti Sea Org it"s a must read as it"s a work that most likely will never be repeated. The author isn"t the most intertaining writer I"ve read but it"s the information that"ll keep you hunting for more.- I know I will!!

This book is very interesting to those seekers whose interests go beyond the status quo of the conformist, puppet-like book industry in this country and their censored world views...
