Good ink, great bottle,
By The Montblanc blue-black ink is a fairly dry iron-gall ink. I like the blue-gray color that emerges after a day or so. Wet pens with fine nibs work particularly well with this ink. Pens with medium or larger nibs may experience ink flow issues.

This review is from: Montblanc Bottled Ink Refill, Blue/Black (39100BB) (Office Product)
First of all, let me say that I collect fountain pens, so I use a lot of ink. I like Mont Blanc pens--they are good writing instruments (a bit finicky, but, like a fine Italian sports car, work really well when they work). However, Montblanc ink is pretty bad. It doesn't flow evenly, and is really too thin to be useable. I had two bottles of this that I couldn't give away.Need ink? Parker's Quink, Sheaffer's Skrip, Lamy's ink or ink from just about anyone else is better that this. Bottom Line: Avoid this.
