I purchased this single speed bike for I am only interested in tooling around bike paths and easy level roads for exercise. I was a little hesitant to buy a bike with only a single speed at first. But after owning it now for several months its clear that for the purpose intended, its all anyone should ever need. Its very solidly built, comfy, a pleasure to ride, and as others have mentioned here, quite simple to put together. (Since it has no break lines or gear cables to install, there is nothing left that is all that complicated.) Most importantly to those of you that are seeking a lot of comfort in a bike, unlike racing bikes and such that have seats on them that to a man will remind them of a prostate exam, this one's seat is nice and wide and very pleasant to sit on over a long period of time. Also the handlebars are straight up and requires no bending over. The price of $99 on Amazon is exactly what they sell it for locally. However with free shipping and easy assembly I opted to buy it here and save on the sales tax. I highly recommend this bike to anyone that will be using it on fairly level surfaces and is interested in just a casual ride for fun or exercise.

This bike arrived quickly and, for less than $80 delivered, was a good deal. This is my second Montego. The first is about 5 years old and has held up like iron. The new one has a 3-piece crank and aluminum bear-trap pedals along with full f/r fenders and a plush/quick release seat. Very easy to assemble and a nice two-tone paint job. Not fancy but well made, tough and nicely priced.

When I opened the box which was in good shape, both fenders were crushed and bent, totally non usable. To the companies credit, I called them and they had replacement fenders to me in 2 days, great customer service!! The bike is solid, built a bit cheaply, but for $99.00 on sale, a great deal. It rides like you would expect a single speed cruiser to ride, and a good wide comfort seat.

Similar to what a lot of other people have mentioned, the bike is simply put in a cardboard box with no padding or packing material. The chrome-looking wheel fenders have virtually no chance of arriving undamaged, one of mine was crushed. I thought they looked kind of dorky, so I just took them both off. I'm happy with the bike, for the price, but be aware that you are getting what you pay for.

Bought this bike last week and was very pleased with it.
The instructions said it had been 'factory assembled and tested' before being partially dismantled and shipped, and it was very easy to assemble. It took under an hour and only required some basic tools e.g. adjustable spanner, screw drivers etc.
I took it for a spin last weekend and it was a comfortable, smooth ride. You're never going to be Lance Armstrong on it, but it's a nice ride.
The shipping box was hardly marked at all, unlike some reviews I've read for alternative bike options
Overall highly recommended.

This is a great "no-frills", easy-to-maintain bike. I also ordered the Montego women's bike, and the men's bike assembled in the same way. This bike is very sturdy, and I have not had any problems with it. Since more than one person rides this bike, I especially like the release lever for adjusting the heighth of the seat. The seat has enough padding and springs for adult comfort.

it`s good and was delivered on time , but the problem that it was apart and needed time and tools to get it fixed and ready for use .

I have had this bike for a week now and have to say the bike is a good value especially for $79 w/free shipping ... It is great for what it is designed for, which is crusing around town in comfort and for minor offroading ... seat is fairly comfortable and easy to adjust ... assembling it was relatively easy and took about 15-20 min .. bike is pretty heavy, but seems to be built quite well ... all in all great entry level inexpensive cruiser.

Bought this bike for my son to use at college. At $79.98 + tax and free shipping, I didn't expect high quality. But the bike turned out to be easy to assemble, looks great and rides OK. It is just right for cruising around a very flat college campus! Shipping was prompt and bike was received about 5 days after ordering. Box was punctured (shipper problem?) and chain guard was slightly dented but fixable (no big deal). Very satisfied with the bike considering the super cheap price.
