From the Manufacturer

Florel brand Growth Regulator is registered to reduce or eliminate undesirable fruit development on many ornamental trees and shrubs such as: apple, buckeye, carob, cottonwood, crabapple, elm, flowering pear, horse chestnut, maple, oak, olive, pine, sour orange, sweet gum (liquidambar) and sycamore. It also works on many other species that produce nuisance fruit. Application must be made prior to fruit set; apply at the mid to full-bloom stage in sufficient water to wet (do not spray to run off). Good spray coverage is essential for complete fruit elimination. Application made too early or too late will also not be effective. Apply at 1 quart per 10 gallons of water (3 oz./gallon). The amount of spray used will depend upon the size of the tree. Temperatures at the time of application should be between 65 degrees Fahrenheit and 95 degrees Fahrenheit for the best results. Do not apply to trees that are under stress from disease, high temperatures, drought, etc. In university tests, we have received 95-100 percent control of undesirable fruit on many species. However, timing is extremely critical! Florel brand Growth Regulator is the only product registered in the U.S. to control mistletoe. It can be used on ornamental deciduous trees to control leafy mistletoe and on conifers for dwarf mistletoe control. On deciduous trees, the ideal time to apply is in the spring just before leaf-out. Daytime temperatures must be above 65 degrees Fahrenheit for good results. Spray only the individual bunches of mistletoe, not the entire tree. Complete kill will not be achieved, but it should be about four years before you will have to retreat. On conifers for dwarf mistletoe, apply in early summer prior to seed dispersal.

Within 3 weeks the flowers died and dropped off, and I expect little or no acorns.

This year was too late for them so they will see the contrast from what their sidewalk looks like compared to mine.

I'm back for more. Several years ago we purchased non-baring olive trees. Italy would love to have these trees. After about 5 years we had a bumper crop of black olives. These olives were a nightmare to rake up. And of course my sweet dogs loved to bring them in the house. Sooo, a friend told me that where they lived the city would spray the trees every year. I went to my nursery and yes they knew about the spray. However, they did not carry it. On to amazon. Yeah, they had it. We sprayed the trees, only when you see the blooms, watered down the area around the trees and to my great suprise and delight no olives. This product also works on the pods from liquid amber trees (which I don't have). This product works and following directions, is safe for other plants and of course most important your animals. Highly recommend. Love it when a product exceeds your expectations.

This does what it is supposed to do; stops production of unwanted fruit. Easy to follow instructions and a no-brainer to use. Excellent results.

I applied it just as the container says. Didn't work. Will try again next year applying it another way. It is hard to apply without a high ladder or some way to get up into the tree to apply.

Had to wait until the weather warmed up. I was trying to save a tree in my back yard.
There is definitely a difference in the mistletoe. Just so hard to reach all of it.

worked one year did not work the next. The product works great but application is key. Read directions and follow to a tee

I did my best to understand how and when to apply the product. My problem was a large liquidambar tree, locally often called the prickle ball or monkey ball tree because of the horrible spiked wooden seed pods. I thought I applied the product how and when the local arborist explained but to no avail. The seed pods developed in force again this year.

We were skeptical when we ordered this but gave it a try and were pleasently suprised. It was relatively easy to use and it worked great. We used it on a Gumball tree and although it did not get every one (we didn't expect it to)it worked wonders on cutting them down by probably 80%. That is a blessing when the tree is in the middle of our deck. I would reccomend this to anyone and I will be using it again myself.
