This product is somewhat difficult to find - very few local co-ops have it - but we will never again plant a garden without first spraying this pre-emergent herbicide. For several years we'd struggled with weeds in our spring and winter gardens. We finally found this product in a rural Alabama co-op. It's no longer available there, but we were delighted to find it through Amazon. It's a concentrate, and it must be mixed with water and applied with a sprayer.

Update of 6/10/14. After using this product on both a winter and a spring garden area, I no longer recommend it for weed control. While it DOES control weeds, the side effect is that the produce grown is stunted. This effect was especially notable in tomato plants. All varieties (Roma, Amelia, and Celebrity) were significantly affected. We followed the instructions rigorously, did not use on corn crop (as specifically prohibited), and after two unsuccessful plantings finally plowed another_new_area for the tomato crop. I recommend using more organic processes, which include hoeing and weeding by hand.
