The content of the book seems excellent as usual with Montessori, but the quality of the reprint is extraordinarily bad. I can recommend to try to buy an old copy, which might be better on the eyes of the reader.

Of course Maria Montessori's book would be excellent. Her thought is straightforward and commonsensical, even though after over fifty years it is not the standard in the education and bringing up of young children. I was saddened to see that some editions are poorly printed. Here is one in modern easy to read font -- not a scan: Spontaneous Activity in Education: The Advanced Montessori Method
