My seven month old daughter thoroughly enjoys this toy. She occupies herself with it all through dinner while the adults eat. It makes a soothing jingling sound, and the toy is well-constructed so it does not prevent any hazards to my child. It's the perfect size for her little hands to hold.

This toy is so simple and is one of my son's favorites. It came highly recommended by a developmental play workshop I participated in. High quality materials, lovely sound and baby is fascinated - how did the jingle bell get inside the cage?

This rattle is great for babies that like music (which is almost all of them). My son loves rattles and anything that makes noise, but he especially likes this because of the bell. It makes a pleasant (and more importantly, not annoying!) sound and my son loves to roll it, shake it, and gnaw on it. I got it for him when he was 7 months old. He loved it then and still loves it now. It also helped him start to crawl as it rolled away from him and he had to go after it.

One possible drawback is it's not a good toy for going out to restaurants. Because it's wood, it's really loud if it gets banged on the table or thrown on the ground. But I didn't need it for that so I don't mind. Overall, a very good toy.
