My three year old asked for a fire truck for Christmas, and I didn't want to get her another plastic, Chinese made toy, so I opted for this Vermont-made truck. Actually, my one year old uses it more - she takes out the people and puts them back in, and takes off the ladders. No spectacular bells and whistles - but don't we all long for the days when a wooden truck was all we needed?
