I really like climbing with these shoes; however, I don't think I'll be getting them again. The toe falls apart after only a few climbs, they still work alright, but I think they'll be completely worn out after a couple of months.

Great price, lousy fit,

I was pretty excited when I found these shoes, as they are far and away the best deal I've found yet. However, after trying three different sizes (yes, 3) and losing in return shipping nearly the actual cost of the shoes, I have finally conceded that in this case you do actually get what you pay for - the shoe ran much smaller than every shoe I've ever tried in the past (and I am quite familiar with both European and US sizing) and the toe is oddly shaped, causing even the correct size to feel wrong. Additionally, the curve in the sole creates an uncomfortable tightness in the inner arch of my foot. (I should mention that I am a woman, and have very slender feet. Normally I wear a size 38; with these, even a 39.5 did not fit correctly.) The one good thing I can say about this experience is that the company I purchased them from, Mountain Gear, was very prompt about refunding/exchanging my purchases. I only wish that they had reimbursed me for each of my mail-back returns (reimbursement was only offered for the first exchange). Be forewarned!

This shoe is phenomenal for bouldering and provides ample foot and arch support for a variety of climbing techniques and styles. It is very versatile.

buy these only if you're new to the sport and not sure you'll stick with it. and don't pay a lot for them. they aren't very comfortable and the grip isn't great. i bought them for very cheap and wasn't sure I'd stick with the sport so it was worth it. bought a different pair after i used these for a few months and the difference in the shoes was immense.

Sizing Issues,
This review is from: Montrail Zealot Climbing Shoe (Apparel)
So i ordered these shoes in my shoe size, 36.5 and when they came, they were tiny. I understand that climbing shoes are supposed to be tight, but for the amount that i am climbing (3 days a week), they were too tight and uncomfortable. I found that ordering a size ABOVE what you normally wear has a good snug fit without killing your feet.

Quite alright,

Good shoe, needs some time to break in because of the curved shape but works well

honestly these are great shoes for the price, but they wear out rather quickly under constant use. That said im ordering my third set pretty soon, and would reccomend it to any begginners/intermediate people who want a cheap set of shoes that works fairly well
