This review is from: Montrose: The Captain General (Hardcover)
Montrose is now a veteran military leader and political figure. This can be a problem in such political systems, as monarchs then feel threatened by popular leaders with talented armies who are not them. He makes more than one head of a country very nervous.
Montrose falls victim to this, while still trying to serve his country, whether with local armies, or mercenaries, or others. |
