On this video, Montserrat Caballe very charmingly introduces each of the items she sings, giving some information about the piece plus often describing her identification with the song or aria.There are arias and songs from Julius Caesar, Adrana Lecouvreur, La Boheme Don Carlo, La Forza del Destino, Mefistofele and from 3 zarzuelas. The concluding piece is the folksong, The Song of the Birds. The sound at times is a little harsh, but always listenable. 67 minutes, color, stereo |
