This is a story of how modern man can triumph without modern resources and comforts if he can engage scientific understanding, ingenuity, curiosity and perseverance. This novel captivates the reader through the main character's inexplicable event; his exploration and utilization of desert life, his search for truth and meaning, and his enduring love of humanity and passion for life.
