Editorial Reviews

2011 collaboration between these Hip Hop heavyweights. Pete Rock and Smif N Wessun have joined forces for a monumental album. Pete Rock has provided the entire production on the album, as well as vocals on several key tracks, including the title track. The album features Bun B, Raekwon, Styles P, Sean Price, Pharoahe Monch, Buckshot, Black Rob, Freeway, Memphis Bleek, Rock of Heltah Skeltah, Hurricane G, Top Dog of Boot Camp Clik and Jahdan of Noble Society.

I would simplify my review with a single word like Hott but they make you write at least 20 words.
This is a classic and Duck Down is the indie label of the year.
My only issue is that Pete Rock should have blessed the mic more.
Yeah he's a DJ/Producer by trade but the Chocolate Boy Wonder has always had mic skills.
But as far as beats and rhymes ...... this album has what you are looking for.
If you are a fan of either , you will be happy with this CD.

When hearing various hype around this album I thought that it was going to be a disappointment because it sounded too good to be true. How wrong was I....VERY!! Pete Rock does his thing with the front to back production. Have had this on constant repeat with a heavy smile. Cool to here him rhyming here and there. The features more than held their own. Tek and Steele have much to be proud of on this project.

Get this album! The production on this album is flawless Pete Rock really put his foot in this one. This album is real hiphop. I very very proud that they still have hunger to for the game despite that crap that now goes on in the industry.

this is what rap music is all about. This old school vibe is where its at! This is what they need to play on the radio, not the junk they have now. This is true blackness from the streets! OLD SCHOOL HIP HOP FOREVER. how i miss those days!

The two stand out tracks are by far #4 That's Hard feat. Sean P. & Styles P and #6 Feel Me feat. Rock & Bun B. This album is definitely my definition of hip hop. With Pete Rock on the boards this album is definitely Monumental. BCC!!!!
