BRAVE IS THE BEST PROG ROCK MUSIC BAND IN THE WORLD!, June 29, 2008

"Monuments" by BRAVE out of the Virginia DC area is one of the greatest progressive rock music albums I have ever heard. Brave is tied in my mind with Canada's legendary progressive rock music trio RUSH as being the best progressive rock music group in the whole wide world. As far as the lyrics to the songs on "Monuments", topics include difficult times, being strong, safety around dead people, relationships gone bad and the need for peace and alone time, missing someone you love, touching and affection in intimacy, heroes, empty thoughts and clouded minds, and going back in Time to change one's love life and anger at one's fate or lot in life, and spirituality and going to heaven or higher spiritual plane, and more. The music after just a little getting used to is superb. The song "Hold On" has Michelle as a strong singer as Michelle is talented and she is tasteful and a joy to listen to! Trevor the drummer is tasteful and makes good use of cymbal playing. Brave added another member to the band, an electric guitarist which makes this album sound great. Then there's the electric violin in hard rock - great sound with violin in rock music! "Hero" is great as it sounds Middle Eastern or Celtic or symphonic - Brave is an awesome band! Ballads, instrumentals giving off the majesty of Life and its power, great harmonies, odd time signatures - magical electric violin - I can't ask for ANYTHING more from BRAVE! Theyre the best in the studio and Live they rock a place!! Look them up and get all of their albums!
