THIS ALBUM DESERVES 100 STARS!!!,

When i first heard this album my jaw dropped. It was so good I could NOT believe it! I haven't heard any album like this in a long time that has inspired me this much to write a review.
The Mood: Soundsational has a mixture of Hiphop - emceeing (Little Brother guests on "Smile"), deejaying - mixing, beatmaking (Soundsational), Jazz ("let the horns blow") is completely instrumental with beats, and R&B - great voice and meaningful lyrics ("Love's Mystery"). The album is so diverse that it doesn't feel like its just one album. They are amazing producers, they've worked with many major stars like Janet Jackson and Usher. These guys are going to be HUGE one day. I am pretty skeptical when it comes to indie groups so only the best spark my interest. I have been telling all my friends who love all these elements of music to give them a listen and they are all blown away. I have an IPOD with 3000 plus songs on it and lately I have been completely happy just having Avila Brothers album playing over and over. Please do yourself a favor and give these guys a shot, you will not regret it.

Superb!!!,

This CD is absolutely wonderful! The only thing that prevented me from giving it 5 stars was the fact that although the CD has a collaboration of jazz, hip hop, rap, and R & B, I personally am not a big fan of rap. Nonetheless, everything was so tastefully done that I actually did find myself nodding my head a little to some of the rap songs on it. So with the exception of the rap, I thought this debut CD for the Avila Brothers was excellent! To my understanding they've been in the music industry for a while, only they've been more behind the scences. Now that they've stepped out from behind the curtains, I certainly hope they're here to stay. Keep it comin', guys!!!

The entire album is awesome. I seen them on Soul Train and enjoyed two tracks, but I literally listen to this CD over and over.

"I Want You" is one of the best songs I have ever heard. The brothers can really, really, really, really, perform. If by any chance,if it is a manager, agent, producer have the Avila Brothers come to Cleveland, OH.

I heard mood on an internet station and thought I'd take a chance. I'm glad I did. This satisfies the HipHop, R&B, Rap and Relax in me. Keep 'em coming brothers!

Ok, I know I'm late. But I would never even had heard of the Avila Brothers if it wasn't for Music Choice's Smooth R&B channel. Once, I heard the song "I Want You", I knew I had to log on to Amazon and buy it. It is truly a gem. It's such a shame that very talented artists like this get slept on, but hey we all know how the music industry is.

Worth The Penny,

If you like (neo) soul, hip hop, R&B, and even house, then you're sure to enjoy listening to this ablum. Not surprisingly, it also has a little bit of the Latin vibe to it (especially when the horns kick in). Definitely worth the penny.
