I bought this set of extractors to remove a pair of tiny (Phillips #00) screws inside my laptop's case. I had damaged heads of both screws trying to loosen them so I ordered this set of extractors. What surprised me is that I didn't even need to use them. The included #00 Phillips screwdriver was so much better made than the one I was using, I was able to get it to bite and removed the screws without even touching the extractors. Very impressed.

The build quality of these is excellent, too. Very solid and substantial.

And I was surprised that this wasn't mentioned or wasn't clear in the description, but each of the tips on these is reversible... so this 6 pc set is actually 12 tools! Great, product.

I needed to remove a tiny, hard to reach and stripped screw from a laptop computer. Broke down and purchased this screw extractor set as a last resort. Had the screw out in under a minute with the use of these screw extractors. Hoping to not need them again, but confident they will make quick work of any future screw mishaps.

I had two small screws in my netbook that had to be removed, after I had already drilled the heads off. I wasn't expecting much, but these extractors spun the screws out easily. No tool works for every job, but you can never have enough screwdrivers anyway.

I love "regular" screw extractors. They are basically "backwards" drill bits with graduated points. I put one in my power drill (or impact driver if I really want to make a point) (hey, that was almost a pun), and start drilling a backwards hole in the middle of the stuck screw. Eventually, friction from the counterclockwise spinning bit, coupled with vibration from the tool, will loosen the stuck screw and back it out.

That's great for a #8 screw that's stuck in a 2x4 and the same technique will not work with a 1mm screw that is in some delicate piece of something. Getting that screw out takes care, finesse, and tools such as these. I've been successful with them and it's a bit like picking a lock. Select an end that grabs the screw a little bit and then gently try unscrewing it a bit at a time. I sometimes have to change bits but they've never failed me yet.

This is an amazing product, great build quality and does as advertised. Unfortunately Two broke while trying to extract a small cellphone screw, but this will get the job done just requires patience. I was able to remove 2 completely striped screws from 2 phones. Product is made in the US so that's a plus too.

I asked my auto repair guys, went to the Toyota dealer, some nice guy at Home Depot went into the back and tried for 10 minutes to help me out. No luck anywhere.

The problem was a remote entry car key fob where the screw on the back had been stripped so I couldn't open it to replace the battery. Therefore, I couldn't lock or unlock my car. Pretty annoying.

The problem most places had was that it was simply too small of a screw. I think it was around 3mm to 4mm and no one had any idea. A replacement key fob was $130 even on eBay so I was willing to give this $22 set a try.

I opened up the bag, squinted as I tried to identify the smallest one and went to work. It was not easy keeping a firm pressure down and twisting since I had to keep the key fob flat as well. Also, if you believe it, I googled how to use an extractor and got all these bolt extractor vids that were much more complicated. For these, you just put force down and twist left to take out screws.

I worked at it for a couple minutes without much luck. I wasn't expecting much anyway considering how no one, not even the dealer was able to help. But then I tried the extractor one size up. It's kind of tough to tell the difference but it's slightly larger. Anyways, the screw was out in 30 seconds.

So I suppose this kit is able to get even smaller screws out. I can only imagine it'll be the ones used in glasses or something.

So this tool kit saved me a lot of money and as far as I can tell, is pure quality. Like some other reviewer stated, I took off the clip thing. It does get in the way and I don't know when I would ever need to clip these to anything. Careful when taking them off though because they can leave scratches.

I bought these based on the reviews and all were very helpful. I was unable to remove a stripped screw from my netbook after trying everything. Well, this worked perfectly. I I didn't need to apply much pressure, it grasped the screw easily. Great quality and sturdy, at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this product to others.

I have to admit I was a bit wary of purchasing due to the reviews. They worked for some but not for others. I purchased it anyway because I had two tiny screws in my white MacBook battery compartment that were completely destroyed and would not budge. I had spent hours on these screws and tried everything. My fan had stopped working and I needed to replace it so failure was not an option. I ordered these from Amazon and waited for them to arrive. I was not even sure how to use the extractor as there are no on-line tutorials to help so I took the suggestion of another reviewer who stated to try every single extractor. I patiently tried every single extractor until I found one that allowed me to sit the extractor inside the screw, apply a bit of pressure, and turn the screw counter-clockwise. You have to turn a little at a time. Once it starts moving, you know you've got it. I was able to remove the destroyed screws so I have to say the set was worth every penny and I was able to fix my computer.
