Photo is wrong.... and "kit" is misleading,

The product itself is good quality.
However, do not let the term "kit" fool you-- only ONE bushing is included. For my application (Chevrolet Camaro) the service manual indicates you need FOUR bushing on the upper a-arm. I mistakenly ordered TWO, assuming everything was included for one whole side (the idea of a "kit"). I had called a local parts store that stocks these to verify the quantity in the box, as I was almost certain that I was shipped a tampered box. The response I got was "One per kit." Unbelievable. This is also an easy mistake because the lower bushings required are both included per-side in the K6490, for almost the same price as ONE upper bushing. I don't know who decided this pricing, because the lower bushings are both larger than the upper, and made of the same materials. Also, someone at Amazon needs to, while fixing the photo (as of 7/27/11 it's wrong), adjust the item weight. How can 3.7 pounds (the mistaken value) ship at 8.8 ounces (~0.5 lbs)? |
