I tried this out because it seemed so much more cost efficient than going to a salon to get a wax job. Let me tell you, it is awesome. For some reason, the sugar is a lot less painful than wax... not sure why. So much less painful that I'm even able to give myself a full brazilian. Yes, that's right. On top of it all, the cloth strips and wooden applicators are easily washable, so you can use them over and over again until the product is gone. Great stuff!

I've been using Moom for a while and like this kit. I picked this up because I had run out of it, and was leaving for Maui and didn't have time to go get a leg/bikini wax. It comes with cloth strips and wooden sticks to spread the mixture. Mind the microwave/heating instructions - if you overheat it, it will burn. It really only needs 12 seconds in my microwave (may differ for others). The key is to have some powder or cornstarch (put this on clean skin), spread the sugaring mix quickly and thinly, place strip firmly on area, hold skin taut and quickly remove strip in opposite direction from hair growth. I use this for my upper lip and brows (extends the life of professional brow shaping sessions).

The lavender is subtle, I hardly notice it. Nice touch, I guess. I get waxed when I don't want to do it myself, and use Moom in between. Moom is cheaper, so I've been using it more lately.

This was the first time I had ever waxed due to the fear of it being extremely painful and to my surprise, I didn't even feel it! It was very easy to apply and you can even apply it without it being heated. It was very easy to take off the wax residue off with just plain warm water, and it left the area non-sticky. I am highly allergic to many products so having this one be organic was definitely a plus. Highly recommended! I will be a frequent user of this product!

This product has won my loyalty. I have undergone underarm waxing since teenagehood and I am in my 30s now. I usually go to the salon for waxing, because every time I've tried home-waxing kits it just didn't work as well. Past home waxing kits cooled too fast, so required multiple runs to the microwaves; they also can be overheated to the point of not only burning the skin but also not sticking correctly to the cloth or hair. I also have sensitive skin and eczema; sloppy wax jobs even at the salons irritated my skin. In short, I've tried previous home waxing kits and they suck.

But going to salon is also a pain due to time and cost. So, I decided to give this Moom stuff a try. I use the word stuff, because this product is proportedly not wax. This stuff was heated once and only once. I placed the jar in hot tap water to make sure and that was all it needed. This stuff also does not leave nasty residue, because it washes off with water if necessary. (You can also wash the stuff off the big popsicle stick and the cloths.) For me, it came off cleanly. Finally, my skin was fine afterward.

So, I love this product and now I no longer need to pay $18-$20+ each time I need a waxing.

I am THRILLED with this product, and here's why:

1) It smells nice (not like depilatory creams)
2) It is WASHABLE!!!! No more wax glops and strings to scrape up!
3) It really removes hair
4) I can even do a bikini wax at home now
5) The linen strips are washable
6) I can remove hair when I want without an appointment
7) My sensitive skin can tolerate this organic product

I love it so much I now have it on Subscribe and Save. Highly recommend!

I should be a spokeswoman for this product. I love it. I use it often and have my entire family hooked on it! It works on the face, on bikini, on thick male back hair- what can't moom do? Doesn't pull, doesn't smell, and the fabric strips are re-usable! Hallelujah!

Follow the directions and this product is excellent! I was able to easily shape my eyebrows too. It takes some time and patience to get it right(first time it was too hot, bad for the bikini line), but now I am an expert and would recommend this product over the conventional hair removal products any time. I am going to stock up even though the hair should stay removed for 2 months (hope that is true)

I've been using Moom for over 3 years, and I will never make the mistake of trying anything else! I'm not sure why the other person couldn't make it work since it's very simple. You heat it up, slap it on with a stick, rub a strip over it and pull it off. The hair has to be at least 1/4 inch long though, so maybe that was her problem.

I originally bought this product to maintain my eyebrows. I recently ran out of razors for shaving my legs and decided to stop wasting them. I tried this wax for the first time on my legs, underarms, and bikini line and I am never turning back. Though you can use it room temp for a quick eyebrow wax, I HIGHLY recommend heating this, especially for use on legs/underarms/bikini; you will save wax and pick up more hairs.

I heat the whole pot of wax by putting it in a small sauce pan (on an electric stove on med+ heat) with about 1" of water. Keep the lid partially unscrewed so it's easy to remove once it's hot, but also to keep water from splashing into the wax while you're heating it. If the wax is initially too hot to use, put some on the stick, swiping the sides and let it cool in the air until you're ready to apply. This works best at the highest temperature you can withstand WITHOUT burning yourself!

First timers let your hair grow out AT LEAST 1/4" - 1/2" in length or longer to remove the most hair. The major benefit is that it takes much longer for it to grow back then when you shave. My legs felt smooth for well over a week. Fewer hairs grow back at one time so although it may be tempting to wax again, I've found it best to hold and do this once a month. Even as a few hairs started to grow back, my legs still felt smoother than when I used to wax.

If you're going "down under" be prepared with a hand mirror. It is VERY helpful to trim the hair on your bikini line to approx 3/4" for a smoother removal. And do NOT pause. A faster swipe is FAR less painful. It is also helpful to have a wet washcloth on hand.

NOTE:
I have fine, thinly spaced hair so I my recommendation is based on my own personal use. If you have thicker hair you will definitely need to heat the wax for a clean, easy removal.

I'm wondering why anyone would still use wax when this stuff is available! I heated it in the microwave for 20 seconds on 20% power - perfect timing. I had to stir it up a bit to get the right consistency, but it was just like warm, thick honey. I can't smell any lavender in it - just smells like caramelized sugar - yummy. It worked just as well as my wax, and oh, so much easier to use. Warm water cleans up everything - i doubt I'll have to buy another kit for a very long time. My skin (upper lip) actually feels softer than usual...nice treat. You absolutely can't go wrong with this magic potion - I am hooked.
