This book was very informative for me as this was my first time to Zihua. The book gave me the opportunity to know the surrounding area also and find fun things to do and experience.

This might be one of the worst travel books I've tried. There is very little detail provided about the supposed sites of interest and there is rarely any information of how to get somewhere, where to purchase tickets, etc... I tried to get the hotel staff to help me out but they just wanted to sell me expensive packages for day trips. I also found distances to be off. Overall just not helpful at all.

Though this book was written 5 years ago, the history of the area, maps and feel for the area is quite good. We have been vacationing here (Zihua and Ixtapa) for about three or four years and we wanted to know alittle more about the safety situation since our media blows it up outrageously. Nothing is said in this book much as far as I can tell at this point. Many of the people have to work three jobs and the cruise ships have been reduced from 200 ships a year to about 12.
