Sixteen year old Starsha is a dreamer in a world where female dreamers are feared. She feels as inconsequential and out of place as the daytime moon. Through an ancient prophecy, the tyrant, Garthazor, discerns her potential and is determined to destroy her by using stolen and mutated magic. Starsha's seven year old brother, Pinay, and Garthazor's second in command, Kymel, offer to stand with Starsha against Garthazor and his army, but Kymel betrays Starsha and Pinay falls under the persuasion of the tyrant. Even the dragon dame, Tryphosa, once a powerful ally, turns against Starsha because of Garthazor's treachery. Can Starsha discover the true power of the Moon in the Day Sky in time to break Garthazor's dominion?

Powerful, emotional, enchanting... Jessie Turner's writing is as strong as her heroines, be they human or dragon! It was a pleasure to watch this story develop in the writing workshop Jessie and I (Her Phoenix Heart) have long been associated with at Mt. Hood Community College. You won't be able to put this story down!
