Hell yea. Level Plane has always released quality stuff and Gospel is no different. They play a progressive brand of heavy indie rock and post-hardcore material. They sound like a mix of Knut, The Mars Volta, and Challenger... but not as crazy as Mars Volta.

Even though the rhythm section of this band is amazingly tight and precise, they still manage to have a natural, organic feel. They are right up there with Mastodon, but in a less extreme context. The rhythms they churn out are the real star of the album, and give the songs a nice sense of direction.

The guitars aren't half bad either as they are primarily used as melodic textures floating over the rhythms, but they add a nice dimension to the sound. The vocals are more or less non-descript yelling, but they fit with the music and don't ruin it

As with most Level Plane material, the intensity and quality are at very high levels. If you dig heavy, challenging music like Knut, Challenger, and the like, this is right up your alley.
