A triumph for Strickland!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Moon Dreams (Paperback)
Brad Strickland's "Moon Dreams" is a fun book with bawdy, crazy-quilt imagery. A month after publication, "Moon Dreams" was required reading at a summit of hundreds of young Georgia writers.

Possibly the most under-rated fantasy novel ever,
By Ozma of Oz "Book Addict" (Lewiston, Maine US) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Moon Dreams (Paperback)
Moon Dreams by Brad Strickland is not something I would have usually picked up by glancing at the cover. I got it at a yard sale for five cents, figuring if it was terrible, "Hey, at least it was only five cents!" Lucky for me, for that may have been the best five cents I ever spent!
Possibly the most colorful, creative, and fun fantasy novel I've ever read (other than Howl's Moving Castle by Dianna Wynne-Jones), Moon Dreams brings us from the normal, modern world, to a fantasy dimention filled with magic, intrigue, and mystical beings. Okay, so it sounds sort of cheesy, but Strickland's fantastic flowing narrative drawns you in and makes you fall right in love with the characters. This book stands apart from all other "Modern to Fantasy world" books by making realistic, imaginative characters and putting them in interesting situations. If you like any kind of fantasy you should read this novel! |
