4.0 out of 5 stars The begining of the Moon Saga, September 24, 2005
By tutseti (Cleveland, Oh USA) - See all my reviews
MOON by Gackt is a great album to listen to and enjoy. The tracks are as follows:

1) Noah
2) Lu:na
3) wa-su-re-na-i-ka-ra
4) Soleil
5) Speed Master
6) Fragrance
7) death wish
8) Doomsday
9) Missing
10) rain
11) ANOTHER WORLD
12) memories

Noah is a great intsrumental track to open the album. It sort of sets the tone, but leaves room for the unexpected.

Tracks 2-5 are more of harder rock feel, good balance of guitar and fast drums.

Fragrance is a song that sort of sticks out from the others (next to memories). It has a complete R&B/ Slow Jam feel to it. It is my personal favorite of all of Gackt's songs. It's one of those songs that you cane groove too and loop for hours.

Tracks 7-8 follow similar to 2-5

Tracks 9-10 are a bit laid back, but still on the heavier rock side compared to frangrance. The sounds are lighter but still lots of drum and guitar.

Track 11 (ANOTHER WORLD) is very fast paced like Speed Master, but the sound is lighter. Gackt's newer single from Diablous "Black Stone" is very similar in style to this song.

The final track, memories, like Frangrance, contrasts greatly against the other songs. For a while, it actually doesn't seem to fit in with the feel of the album, but towards the middle and end of the song, it starts to sound like a perfect tune to close an album.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best yet, October 25, 2005
By diva "diva" (Singapore) - See all my reviews
If you thought MARS was great, this is even better.
It's a great album with gackt's voice really coming through. all the songs are perfect for each other and that's why they really form a great album. I really love this album even better than MARS because most of the songs have pretty lovely lyrics as well and quite a few tracks have this high-spirited and fun rhythm!

I really recommend it with a big capital letter A!
Get it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a kid, just don't have my own Amazon account., March 1, 2007
A Kid's Review
If I could, I'd give this a 4.5, because like most of his albums, the songs flow really well together.

This is my third favorite Gackt album. I have to admit, even though I HATE how the CD is placed in the packaging (I'm afraid of it getting scratched because of it, even) I do like the packaging.

Now, Gackt is one of my favorite j-rock artists, however, there are of course better artists. I have three of his albums and one single (MARS, MOON, Crescent and Redemption) and then if you include his Malice Mizer days merveilles, and quite honestly I can't picture my CD collection without them.

One thing about Gackt's albums is.. Well, sometimes I like to put songs on repeat and listen to it over-and-over, however Gackt's songs it just seems better to listen to one song, then a different one, though it's not necessarily a bad thing.

If you've heard Gackt and like him, I'd definetly recommend this album along with MARS and Crescent (and Redemption.)
