Editorial Reviews

Recorded at Memphis’s famed Ardent Studios in 1998 by producer Rick Clark (Alex Chilton, Big Star), the album also features Memphis legend Jim Spake on baritone sax (Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis), and special guest, Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise).

This album blurs the line between heavy metal and punk rock, spiced up with garage, rockabilly, swing, prank phone calls, and a healthy dose of that sticky green stuff. Released in 2002 by Grammy nominated independent label T-Bones Records, The Cooters have worked hard to bring this album to you. Produced and paid for by the band, this album is a DIY release, produced the old fashioned way: by gigs, day jobs, garage sales, blood, sweat, tears, and even a stint in the Mississippi penitentiary.
