Kids book arrived slightly damages
The book we ordered was in great shape but it was not mailed in a padded envelope and consequently it was bent alomst in half when it arrived.

My boys' favorite book ever,

Not sure about these somewhat negative reviews. I'm ordering another copy because my 2 boys read this SO MUCH that it finally fell apart. The illustrations are wonderful. The rhymes ... my youngest could finish the sentences when he was 2... We LOVE this book! They also have fun when we're reading deciding which Moondog is their favorite. Awesome book!

My three year old son LOVES this book. We qoute it constantly. He loves to pretend to be Scrappy, loyal earth dog, which unfortunately makes me the Moon Man (often unaware) when he bites my pants leg. He knows it by heart and will recite the words for each page appropriately. We read it everyday!

Great vocabulary and rhyming,

My two year old son loves this book and recites it right along with me (or without me). The language and artwork are great. My son has learned quite a few words that don't often show up in books for young children: telescope, devour, astronaut, contentedly, guarantee, ferocious... He also spends ages just staring at the pictures. We've been borrowing it from the library a lot, and it's surprisingly difficult to find in bookstores. Its about time we got our own copy, as this is a major favorite.
