About the Author

Don Best has been working as a missionary with Project AmaZon (PAZ) since 2002. He and his wife, Betty, live at the mission's main base in Santarém, Brazil, working in communications and hosting the PAZ guesthouse. By the grace of God, PAZ has planted hundreds of Christ-centered churches in the Amazon, and aspires to reach the thousands of owns and villages that still have no Bible-believing church.

Moonlight on the Amazon-really spoke to my heart. The beautiful photos with the stories explaining the life, love, heartace, joy and faith of the people involved in the Amazon. It is a wonderful coffee table book which immediately make a conversation possible. This book really touched my heart and I will recommend it to anyone. It is the perfect gift. I have been quite overwhelmed after recently recieving a copy of Moonlight on the Amazon. As I opened the pages and started reading the articles and enjoying the photograpy I was overcome with laughter(like I have not experienced for some time), deep joy and a sense of being wonderfully blessed. It is difficult to put down, nor can I let anybody coming around get away without reading some of the articles to them. This book to me is a work of the divine!

I have never looked at a book that so well brings out the unique flavor of a region both by photos and words. The spiritual insights given in each chapter are well worth the price to say nothing of the beautiful pictures of life by the Amazon River. A chapter a day gave both my wife and me something to remember and brought back good memories of our trip there in 2004. Read and be blessed!
