Both the light output and the plastic used in the construction are not that strong. The light put out by this lamp is not as strong as the tubular ones I got from Walmart and it only cost me $2.50. I give it three stars for light out put. Aesthetically, it looks good but it's made of a thin somewhat soft plastic. One of my dogs, a Lhasa Apso hit it while chasing after a fly and it cracked. I give it a two star for construction/quality of material and a three star for looking nice. I doubt it will last more than a couple of summers but who knows, miracles can happen.

These are good for the price if you want something temporary. They are not bright to light up the surrounding area but you can tell they are there. They are made of plastic so when you put them in the ground you can't use too much pressure, which is hard to do... 2 of them disintegrated in my hand - the top broke on one and the bottom on another so I was able to put the good top on the good bottom and am saving the bulb for when another one breaks. Maybe because they are lightweight, they seem to migrate - I have to adjust them from time to time to stand straight up and point forwards. Update: I got sick of adjusting them, now they are all toppled over and just lying in the grass, but they still light up. If you want something permanent buy metal I guess.

these go so well with my asian style yard. they are bright enough for accent lights. looks nice during the day

Nice look from a distance in daylight, but plasticky and cheap-looking up close.
At night, gives off very little light--just twinkly pale blue spots on my lawn.
Would return them if it weren't a hassle.

I put both of these lights at our front door along the sidewalk. They did require some assembly and removal of a tag covering the battery inside the top - if you don't get that tag off, the lights won't light up at all. I had sort of thought they would be a bit brighter, but these are a soft white light that doesn't extend more than a few inches from the lamp. However, if you just want a highlight along the walkway then these are very pretty and not terribly expensive. I do like the black plastic - it should hold it's color and look nice for a least a year or two.

poor lighting,expensive only 2 per pack..one broke just trying to put it in the ground..poorly made..big disappointment..all other products I have purchased from moonrays have been excellent quality..

I bought quite of few of these to go around our pool and at first they were wonderful. The light (although not bright) was sophisticated looking with a clean look. Exactly what we wanted. But then, just like other reviewers have mentioned, the plastic stake that holds them up from the ground is hollow and flimsy. They crack easily and there's no real way to fix them. Probably because it's plastic. It would be more durable if it was aluminum or something. Further more, the solar panels on the lights have become all cloudy and bubbly. They no longer work. We even tried to order solar battery replacements to try and salvage them but to no avail.

We've had them for a summer and they are going in the trash now. Quite a shame.
