I purchased eight of these lights to go on the post around my deck. I wanted to light the surface of the deck and have lighting when the sun goes down. I'm pleased so far, they are the right fit for the deck post and decorative, these lights are excellent, they give off just enough light. I have received several compliments in just the few weeks I've owned them. I have not seen them locally in stores which I like a lot. I don't normally make recommendations. But I would recommend these light, Great Buy. A inaexpensive way to have deck lighting

Great little light. I was a little surprised by how small it is. Throws a lot of light on the stairs of my new deck. It also shines until dawn.

For $1 more, Home Depot carries one with 2 batteries, longer, brighter light and the back comes off for easy installation. I bought 5 of these and wish I hadn't.

I received my "Moonray-Solar Powered Deck Light" right on time and as in the past very satisfied with the delivery. Okay, I had to unscrew the tiny battery back, since the tab I was suppose to pull out was not in sight. It was a lot smaller then I thought it might be but what really made me want to send it back, was at night it constantly "flickers" as a candle would. I would think you would need at least 6 or 8 of these lights to have any impact;

Sorry didn't give this item a reasonable amount of time to review...To date my "Moonray" deck light is still working it's little magic at night on my deck. I put another one of these in my cart today and hope to purchase soon.

These lights work but they must be mounted no higher than two feet from the ground to get any decent ground lighting. Other wise they wash out (not powerful enough). Mounted on all my fence posts, at night they look nice. They dont have plastic pull tabs to activate the batteries! That means you must remove two screws for each battery cover before you can get to the tab. That was 40 screws in my case! 3Stars because of light strengh but they all worked out the box (x20). Not bad.

These are fantastic, put out quite a bit of light and I have four on my pool deck and one on the steps and they provide all the light I ned at night.

These do just what I was expecting - we put them along the front of our new porch and it gives just a little down light when you drive in our driveway - not a bright light. Lights are smaller than I was expecting but work great.

The plus is that this light stays lit throughout the whole night. From 8pm to 6am it was still kicking. I have hours of direct sunlight to recharge it in the day. Owned it for about a week so far. But, it looks like it has only 1 LED, not the 2 as described here. And this thing at best will only light up a 1 square foot area. Also, the width and height is only 3.5x2.5 inches. Not even close to what was described, 5+ by 5+ by 24+ inches!?!? And, the price is too high compared to similar products. $20 for this little thing is a bit steep. I can see why it's been phased out, and appears to be no longer available.

A new product seems to be replacing these, Moonrays 95028 & 95027. These can be found elsewhere for $4 and appear to be the same specs, 1 LED mini solar light. Or from here for a bit over $7, but the specs here again state they have 2 LEDs, I doubt it, and the size is 15.75x7.25x8! inches, I doubt that too.

These are great little lights that mount right on a post and provide a nice soft glow of light down on the ground or steps. I mounted three down aur steps on our deck. They are not super bright, but provide just enough light that you can easily see the step and where you are going. I am not sure if I would have wanted it brighter. They appear to still be bright at 6 AM when it is still dark. I will likely buy one more for another location. One thing that I did like is that it uses a standard AA rechargable battery. SO if the performance of the battery every diminishes as most do, you can just put a new on in.

Nice accent light, but much smaller than I expected. I like it but don't recommend relying on it to illuminate paths and it is a bit fragile - dropped one on the indoor carpeting and the bottom cover popped off, but it was nothing that superglue couldn't handle. One note: you must physically remove the battery and take off the plastic sheathing to start charging the batteries (there is no tab to pull).
