This is simply one of the best new age albums ever made and it is deplorable that Himekami may never have the popular acclaim of Enya, because Yoshiaki Hoshi (the leader of Himekami) is even more brilliant at songs than her!!! Especially noteworthy are the tracks Tosa Dunes (heaven on earth, it sounds to me), Earthflame (mournful, but gentle and loving at the end), and Evening Poem (music to make you stop and think). Of course, it is not perfect (why did the last track have to be so long?), but it is still worth what I paid for it, TWICE, since I bought Himekami items for a friend of mine as well.

If you are looking for the best Asian style music ever created, you have found it with Himekami. This was my first Himekami album, and I quickly fell in love with it. Every song is painstakingly crafted to deliver greatness to our ears. Pure sonic poetry. Get this, and also get Snow Goddess. It is equally excellent.

I have purchased the product in Singapore during the 1992 before internet is borned to this world. Moonwater and Snow goddess have the best new age music so far and after you will grow to love it. The chinese word goes "you listen until oil appears at your ears". This two cd are one of the best collection so far for New Age music lovers. Have a nice day enjoying and recommended to those whom are interested in this genre of music.

The music flows like the tide, the name "Moonwater " says it all. Each track invokes a different emotion and immage. The music is sharp, clear and clean. When you listen to this music you not only hear the music you see it as well.

I have a number of albums from this artist. There is quite a range of sounds from your typical New Age elevator music, not an insult, to material that sounds like something from Kitaro. This album is the later. I happen to like the delicate flowing music made famous in the Silk Road series and, thus, find this particular Himekami offering to be beautiful. It is the ultimate music to relax with as you flow along like the stars in the Milky Way or a slowly moving line of clouds across the blue sky. There is a sharp crispness to the images but, unlike some of the really spacy type material out there, there is not a feeling of coldness or solitude. Two thumbs up on this one.

My favorite album. I used it in my art classes to promote relaxed concentration while students worked. It became their favorite, also.
I have Himekani's "Journey to Jipangu" and "Snow . . ." All are excellent.
My wish is that a wider range of Himekani's music was available. I have been unable to find other albums.
