A rare perfect album,

This album is so great that I'm equal parts surprised and troubled that there are not more reviews of it. Moonwink is a really catchy album and you'd have a hard time finding a singular comparison. I know they've covered Tommy James and the Shondels, but Spinto Band isn't some throwback group. Also, the songs are really layered, which you wouldn't think from first sight. Basically, this is inventive pop music and you ought to give it a try. I found it very refreshing!

Poptasmagorical!,

An unrelenting collection of wimpy, quirky pop brilliance. There's no let up on "Moonwink" for balladry on this 11 song collection from this punchy Delaware septet. They employ almost every chord change they can into their little 3 minute pop gems, all the while spewing lyrics so rapidly to the point of exhaustion. They remind me of a saner Of Montreal. The same manic energy they display live onstage is all there for your listening pleasure on "Moonwink". Enjoy!

If you're feeling blue, pop in the Spinto Band and they'll make you feel better! Their music is clever and their lyrics are intriguing. Good times!

After the near perfect indie pop/rock of "Nice & Nicely Done," Spinto Band have turned in a more complex and creative direction with "Moonwink." The hooks that made their first album such a joy are still there, but they've slipped the tunes from their pop moorings. Rather than stepping through discrete chord changes, these songs seem to glide across their notes before arriving at a melodic destination. The effect was unsettling at first to this listener, but provided a sense of constant discovery on repeated listenings. It's become one of my favorite albums of the past couple years.

This is crazy fast moving music that is definetly off the dial. Not inteded for people who listen to Nickelback or your plain old same old tired tv band from no where land. This music is Beatlesque Indie Madness and rich with musical ideas and lyrics that seem to come out of the speakers endlessly. It is loud and wild and high energy work out music.
