Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

This engaging program marks the debut of a new company, Hulabee, founded by the creators of Humongous Entertainment. In a format similar to the beloved Putt-Putt and Freddi Fish games, children control the movements of a young boy named Dreadly as he embarks on a scavenger hunt in search of special items needed to find a hidden treasure. The adventure is packed with logic and problem solving opportunities. Dreadly is a curious kid with a sharp wit (don't worry, no bad language) and a penchant for adventure --he calls himself "Captain Dreadly". His buddy, Moop, who resembles a large, purple stuffed animal, never talks and is willing to put up with Dreadly's never-ending curiosity. Features of the program include the ability to easily save games, a handy chapter navigation system with a map, hints in case you get stumped, and a language toggle between English or Spanish. 4.0 out of 5 stars My girl prefers Ollo but still likes Moop & Dreadly, March 16, 2003
This review is from: Moop and Dreadly: The Treasure on Bing Bong Island (CD-ROM)
I am occasionally surprised at what my four-year-old daughter likes to play. I thought since she loved "Ollo at the Sunny Valley Fair" so much she would equally adore this problem solving game also made by Plaid Banana. But she can't see them in a similar light. She played "Moop and Dreadly" and enjoyed it but doesn't choose it as one of her favorites. I love the graphics, music, and clever jokes. I am so glad that I have a copy of it now that it is harder to find. I prefer it over Ollo and find it has a cunning, sharp wit but it is not really up to me, is it?

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for old and young!, April 3, 2002

...my 9 year old nephew had a ball with this game! It kept him entertained for a long while until he had to give up his computer time to his older brother. This game keeps your attention with colorful characters and fun gameplay. The puzzles were thoughtful, even if some were easier than others. It was also fun to practice Spanish while he played. The game we bought had both English and Spanish languages on it. Brilliant idea!
