This review is from: Moore's Irish Melodies: With Music of Turlough O'Carolan, Slow Aires, Dance Tunes, & Harmonized Vocal Arrangements (Paperback)
Has there ever been a melody-maker like Turlough O'Carolan? Here we are 250 or 300 years after his death, dreaming and humming and dancing to his truly gorgeous melodies. This book is an excellent compilation of his work, with all types represented. As a singer, though, I'm always sad that I don't have words to so many of these lovely harp melodies. As a dancer, it's always obvious which ones require the dance -- our feet cannot stay still when those reels start. Very nice book. Highly recommended.
