Moose are magnificent animals found in starkly beautiful wild settings,
making them naturals for a calendar. I love moose and have enjoyed moose calendars for years. Most of the scenes here seem to have been shot somewhat close in, in an aquatic setting; they might have been taken over a period of days, not necessarily over four seasons. Missing are vivid autumn or winter vistas in which the landscape is the main subject and the moose humbly abides in a small corner. But you could do much worse. There are moose of all ages and genders in these photos as in the wild, they are not limited to males with antlers. The moose are not just posing. They wade and forage, and check out other moose; rivals spar, mothers tend young ones. |
