The shape should have been rounded off at the edges instead of the awkward square shape.

I plugged it in all night, but when I plugged it into the phone, it only charges for about 10 seconds, then peters out.

The indicators on the device will only show two colors: Red for out of power, Green for fully charged.

I took the time to evaluate this product thoroughly and I think a lot of the reviews on here are not doing it justice. I had some problems at first with this product like a lot of you on here but it turns out that those were due to me using it wrong/missing instructions. First of all: Mophie customer service is great! I did not try to contact them through Amazon but went directly to their website where they have a live chat. I got hooked up with somebody right away. All communication with them was fast, friendly and efficient. But back to my experience.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and was looking for something that can give me some juice when I am in a pinch, e. g. very late at night when I am at one of my sporting events. I do not want to carry a charger and cables around with me all the time. I got a spare battery, but you have to remember to take it with you ;). Which I probably would e. g. for a long trip with no access to an outlet but for sure I won't have it with me on this occassional emergencies to tie me over for a few hours. I wanted something I will have with me all the time which is not too bulky. So the key chain battery sounded like a great idea. I did not expect that a 1000 mAh battery would give me a complete charge (the Galaxy S3 hat a 2100 mAh battery and there is always some loss if you transfer energy from A to B). I expected something around like a 30 - 40% charge from this.

At first I had some problems. My boyfriend tried to use it and did not realize that the two cables were really only one cable. One end has the USB plug the other end has the micro USB plug. You always have to have one end of it plugged into the mophie or it won't work! So that might be the answer to some of you who said you got 0 charge out of it. That is what happened to my boyfriend.

I was initially drawn to the micro reserve because of its size. While I found it a big too large to actually put on my keychain, It still fit comfortably in my pocket. The fact that it came with it's own plug was a bonus.

I actually bought two of these, one for me and one for my boyfriend. We both have the Motorola Droid 4. As soon as I opened the package, I checked the battery level, and it showed solid green. Thinking it must have already come with a charge, I hooked it up to my phone. My phone said it was charging for about the first ten seconds and then stopped. When I unplugged the Mophie, I checked it's battery life and it wouldn't even come on.

I initially thought this was because it was brand new, so I didn't think there was problem. So I decided to plug the device into a wall outlet using a plug head from one my cell phone chargers. Nothing happened. But then, maybe they just weren't compatible. So I plugged the device into a USB outlet on my computer. The LED showed up red, then started flashing green.

Now according to the instructions, if the LED light won't come on, it needs to be plugged up. If you check the battery while the device is unplugged it will light up red, orange, yellow, or green to display how much charge it has. Additionally, when charging the device, you can press the battery indicator and it will flash one of the above corresponding colors to let you know what stage of charging it is in.

At no point in testing this device did I ever see any color other than green or red.

Anyway, since my device was now flashing green that meant it was close to full charge, which didn't make sense if it had been completely dead a moment ago. I ended up letting the device sit plugged into the USB outlet for some time.

The charger keeps coming out of my phone and I have to hold it on, furthermore it doesn't come with instructions so I don't know if i'm 'doing it wrong;. The first time I needed it, it charged my phone up to 15% and then ran out of juice.

The key chain thing is a good concept, but it doesn't work because my keys are to heavy to be hanging from my computer. Their cord needs to be longer.

Mophie products always work great with Apple, so I offered to check on this Android product for a friend. Unfortunately, it malfunctioned and had to be returned, but Mophie is of course honoring the purchase and we are getting ready to send ours in now for an exchange.

Purchased at Best Buy via the recommendation of the sales person. Similar to the other reviews, it will not charge my phone (Motorola DROID RAZR).

Here's why. ANKER has 5-10 times the charging power as a comparably sized Mophie device - and is 50-70% less expensive. Anker's cheapest model is $29.99 and charges 3-4 phones in a cycle - Mophie's $49.99 model gives an "emergency" charge - 12% of one phone - this is not a joke. Well it IS a joke - but it's not a lie. Mophie is THE worst. Newer Anker models offer up to 10 charges a cycle and can do a couple phones at once. Great for boosting the battery level (and spirits) of your whole late-night crew. Anker uses your phone's USB cord so it's compatible with virtually everything. I know, it sounds like I work for ANKER - I swear I don't. I just want people to realize how great this product is!!!!

I was reluctant to buy the Motorola Photon because it only comes with an internal battery, so you can't buy extra batteries like I did with my old Samsung. As a result, the portable charger becomes essential when you travel a lot as I do with lots of long days. I like the smaller design so bought this device. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. As other reviews have said, it simply does not hold a charge. I plugged it in all night, but when I plugged it into the phone, it only charges for about 10 seconds, then peters out. I sent back to Best Buy and they were nice enough to let me trade the device out for a new one, thinking that it was just a one-off bad one. Not so. The replacement did the same thing. I returned it, and am now looking for an alternative. Very disappointed.
