This is the third battery pack I bought for powering Apple products in the last couple of years.
I have had a Kensington and a New Trent product, both would work for the iphone and the iPod touch, but will not charge the iPad...
well... not very well.
The juice pack actually works! It has a claimed output of 2.1A and will charge the iPad rather quickly.
It needs a special charger cord, which could be a bummer if it is lost or forgotten.
Recharging takes quite a while, depending on the Charger used. Even the iPhone charger will work on it, but the Kensington or the iPad charger works better.
In any case, it took quite a while to get it recharged back to 6 LEDs!
At a rating of 3600 mAH I am not sure how much extra "power" it provides for the IPAD.
It seems to be able to provide a partial recharge for the iPad from empty. Starting with a full charge (6LEDs) on the battery and a dead (red zone) iPad, it recharged the iPad back to 53% before all the LEDs went out.
The unit is very nicely desiged and tastefully styled. The size and weight is comparable to the Kensington or the New Trent Power packs.
It is a bit pricy at $99 (Apple Store), for the limited power it provides.

For those people looking for a charger for the iPad, check out the New Trent 1000; it is not as beautiful as the Moxie but it packs enough juice to actually recharge the iPad. The Moxie is really more suited for light duty use, like for an iPhone or Ipod.

I am one of those people who seems to discharge items all the time. My phones, my Kindle, my iPad...whatever I have, it is probably dry. The Mophie is just an amazing product. One battery that will charge any USB device. I frequently pull it out at conferences to lend to people whose devices are dead.
The ONLY issue I have with it, and it's very minor, is that the Mophie can't do a thru-charge. That is, if my Mophie is plugged into my Air (which only had one USB port) to charge up, I can't also plug my phone into the Mophie and have it charge that.
I've tried other extermal batteries and this one is far and away the best.

This attractively styled little power brick can be a real lifesaver. It's designed to charge your mobile Apple devices when you're on the go, and it delivers on that promise. It has a sleek look and a pleasant tactile feel to the rubberized center surface. It ships fully charged so there is no need to plug it in to your computer's USB port right away with the supplied included cable. You are supposed to be able to charge your mobile device about 5 or 6 times before it needs to be recharged itself, but so far I've only gotten 4 charges at most before it is empty (1 with the iPad). The Juice Pack itself takes about 4 hours to charge from my iMac, and the iPod Touch I tested it with took about an hour (a little longer for the iPhone). Another neat feature is that you can continue to use your portable device while the Mophie is charging it. You can see how much "juice" the pack has left using the 6 LEDs on the top face.
I think this is excellent option for charging your portable devices on the go. It's small form factor (slightly larger than the iPhone 4) makes it easy to throw into a back for a weekend getaway. If I could make it work with my HP laptop, life would be perfect. The Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation is ideal for charging smaller devices but it's great that it can top-off an iPad as well. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but if it lasts the claimed 500 full cycles and all of its touted safety features work, then it will be worth the current price tag.

Doesn't work for Blackberry 9900!
Unforunately, this products seems only to output at 2.1A. My Blackberry Bold 9900 says it can't be charged with this device. So it's useless! Unless you have an iPhone (or iPad).
