When I was young, my mom listened to classical music, my dad listened to country music, and rock & roll was still young. [My early memories include "The Purple People Eater" and "Please Mr. Custer, I don't Want to go...." - neither one is in this collection.]
Like many of you, you probably already have a collection of "oldies." I do too. I got this because there were 1 or 2 that I didn't already have. At a time like that, when I can find a good used CD that has the 1 or 2 that I want, then it's time to buy it.
If you are just beginning to accumulate a collection from the '50's, this is as good a place as any to start.
