This book is a collection of submissions from just plain folks who have been bitten by the genealogy bug. These short articles relate how they solved a particular problem in family research. It is rather like a meeting of the local genealogy society - a swap of stories and ideas. For the most part, these stories in little doses are interesting to read. There are a variety of "how I did what" which seem to cover about every family mystery, and may even cover yours. Some of the stories get confusing, as is possible anytime someone tries to explain their ancestors' stories to others.

I am still reading this book but it has given me real personal experiences of what I have or may encounter in my research. It has examples for different countries as well.
