"No More Ceremonies",is a Joy Division Bootleg of their performance at the Lyceum Ballroom in London on Feb 29, 1980. There are 4 known audience recording from this concert, including the one used on the "Heart and Soul box set". Only 5 of the 11 songs from this show where included on "Heart and Soul", with this Bootleg being the only release of the whole concert. The 5 songs used on "Heart and Soul" where taken from the best audience recording compared to the audience recording used on this 2004 release by Primo Records. Only 500 of these Bootlegs where released, they are beyond rare. The Lyceum show is the only time Joy Division played "Komakino" live. All and all, for an audience recording, the sound quality is goooood, but could of been mastered better by Primo Records. An 7+ out of 10 for the sound quality. This is not the same recording that was used on the "Heart and Soul" box set. If you can find a copy, do yourself a favor and buy it. "We knocked on the doors of Hell's darker chamber, Pushed to the limit, we dragged ourselves in". Ian Curtis, Decades.

5.0 out of 5 stars Joy Division, Thank You!, May 21, 2005
This review is from: No More Ceremonies (Live) (Audio CD)
What else can I say about Joy Division except, maybe that they were great. Ian Curtis, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris, such a great combination. This music means so much. I always thought they brought their own unique style to music. Great Cd to own if you can get your hands on it. Thank You Joy Division for letting me live another day. Great, Great, Great Indeed.
