This CD is not for the "fly by night" Al Green fan. For those fans, his "Greatest Hits" CD is probably sufficient. However, for those who want to delve deeper into Green's repertoire, this is a great CD. My only thought is that if you are that big of an Al Green fan, you will probably want to buy the individual CDs, so this CD may be repetitive. However, if you want a one stop shop for Green's more peripheral material, this CD won't do you wrong.

I'd been hearing this singer on movie soundtracks and his numbers always enhanced the movie in question. This was his first album that I ever listened to and if he has even better ones, as some other reviewers here claim, I find that hard to believe. He is the consummate artist as the soulful, heartbroken, lovelorn singer. He hits each song here perfectly and is a master of conveying emotion. My favorite is "How Do You Mend a Broken Heart." The only song I could pass on is "To Sir With Love" because I've always thought it was a bad composition. Green does his best even with this lesser number.

Al Green's More Greatest Hits is a testament of his enthusiasm and versitility with his gift of song.Go!Al Go!

Al Green, come on, what could I say. This is for the mature music fan. I don't mean anything is nasty, but rather Al Green sang about something, unlike today's music where people just yell at you.

This is for the old school

I think Al Green is the best soul artist ever. I love all his music and he has a voice that is out of this world. I think the artist we have today can not compare with this man. I play his music all the time, I think I have about 5 or so cds and I am still getting more. If I lose a cd I go and replace it. I can not live without my Al Green!

i just love this man.. and every thing that he sings is golden too. he has a soft and exciting voice and all the songs on this album is great...

This was when music was MUSIC. This is a GREAT CD. Thank you Al for giving my generation (60s, 70s & 80s)a real reason to listen, love, enjoy and appreciate good soul music from your heart. This is what real R&B is all about!
