Book Description

August 30, 2011
Katie Boyette 's neighbors in Boone, North Carolina typically refer to her as that girl who knits all the time. According to Katie, it is an accurate description. In her second book, More KnitWits, Katie has designed an assortment of 20 more engaging and loveable creatures and, as was noted in the Denver Post in November 2010, about KnitWit, her first book . . . it is a colorful reminder that there's more to make with yarn and sticks than scarves, hats and blankets. New patterns include Flash, the five-eyed, middle age monster who's been told he needs bifocals and Doodle, a rooster who lives to tango.

Editorial Reviews

Review

More KnitWits: 20 More Fun Projects for Those Who Love to Knit & Purl by Katie Boyette presents more fanciful creatures for those who just can't get enough. Like its predecessor, KnitWit, this text is highly illustrated and easy to follow. --Creative Knitting Magazine

About the Author

Katie Boyette graduated with a BFA in studio art (with a concentration in sculpture) from the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Appalachian State University. She lives in the mountains of North Carolina with her two children, where she is a baker by day and a creator of knitting patterns by night. Katie began knitting several years ago when she was invited to join a local Stitch n Bitch group. Since then she has rarely put down her needles, except for occasional meals and naps. Her obsession with knitting toys and other 3-D objects is strongly influenced by her sculpting background and her designs reflect a joyful and fun approach to this time honored craft. She keeps a blog, caffaknitted.typepad.com and participates in several plush art shows including Luvable Huggable in NYC and Plus You in Seattle. More KnitWits is her second book and a follow-up to her successful KnitWit.

This is an awesomely cute book of knitting patterns. Some of them look somewhat challenging using double pointed needles and such, but I am ready to take them on since they are super cute!!!! Really different also.

Adorable monsters to knit! I needed a shark pattern for my grandson, and this fills the bill. He will love it.
