This book is written to illustrate the negative and harmful impacts of hip hop music and culture upon the African American male student over the past several decades. 5.0 out of 5 stars YES...More Like Barack June 5, 2013
This book is fantastic. The author provides a frank and compelling case that is also easy to read. As the author illustrates, clearly the type of culture that President Barack has and continues to inspire in the Black community is best for our children and for our future.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is about time June 4, 2013
It is about time that somebody has the courage to tell the truth about the whole Hip Hop culture. Black children have been under achieving for years. We need to stop making excuses and challenge black childern to do the work it reqires to be successful. Nothing in life is free, it will cost you something.

4.0 out of 5 stars look no further June 13, 2012
than the previous reviewer as to why the problem this book illustrates exists in the black community. one who ascends to the highest office in the country is considered a "sell out" to white society, while a thug who contributed very little to society is celebrated.

1.0 out of 5 stars Less Like Tupac, Really? November 20, 2012
Before you write a book about how Tupac ruined america, maybe the author should have done some research on the worls most influential rapper that's in the Guiness book of world records and is also on the Vaticans playlist. Yeah you read that right. Tupac was more than some gang banging, drug lord, thug, rapist, hoodlum that the media portrayed him to be. Tupac had a huge heart and was trying to make a difference in the world. He may be the most misunderstood person to ever come to earth.

Tupac as you know was constantly in the news and it was never a good thing either. But what's the media's goal? to stir up as much garbage and ruin someones career. The news is rarely ever full of good news. Tupac would not be as loved and popular as he was if he was as bad as the media said he was. Tupac wrote songs for everyone, he didn't just target a specific audiance. When he made music, he had a message and a point in his lyrics. He wasn't a 50 cent, eminem, lil wayne, and soulja boy garbage rapping about drugs, power, b1tches, and money. Sure he had some songs involving those things but look at the big picture. what was Tupac's goal? to stop violence and bring the communities together and to save the youth from the street life.
