Scott Wesley Brown for those who love praise & worship music, October 27, 1998

This latest album by Scott Wesley Brown has a familiar sound if you're a fan. It will surely be enjoyed by SWB fans who like praise and worship music, but it lacks the passion and fervor of his other work. The songs suffer from a similarity that is the hallmark of much praise and worship music in general. For instance, "The Gospel is True" and "We Are the Body of Christ" seem almost interchangeable. My favorites on the album are "He Will Rejoice Over You" (a musical setting of Zephaniah 3:17, one of my favorite Scriptures) and "Only Your Mercy," and clear and tender presentation of the Gospel message. If you do not particularly enjoy praise and worship music this album will seem bland. If you love praise and worship and love Scott Wesley Brown, then you will probably enjoy this combination.

This was a inspirational album. I have led half the songs in my church congregation. They are simply wonderful. So soothing and magnificent.

I haven't listened to this CD yet - but I have other songs of Scott's that are really great!! He has such a powerful voice that really gets the message accross and, I beleive, opens people's hearts!! My favorite is, 'This little Child'.
