The perfect compliment to the original soundtrack!,

OK...I did not originally intend to write a review of this album. But considering that I love this movie, I am a huge fan of Piper Perabo and LeAnn Rimes, and especially since the only review I see here so far seems to be such an INJUSTICE, I decided to try to bring some balance.I really feel that this record completes one of the most impressive soundtracks in modern movie history. When you listen to a soundtrack, it's a bit different than listening to a regular album. It should elicit images of the associated movie scenes based on each song you hear. For example, the opening song had a special significance in the story, as Violet's first victory over stagefright, with her performance of it serving to save the bar at the same time (this is also a great song in its own right). And anyone with, shall we say, an interest in ladies' undergarments who saw the movie should remember the "Rock This Town" scene. "Battleflag" is one of the best dance songs in recent years (and a key soundtest song for my home and car entertainment systems), and the last two tracks are remixes of a couple of great LeAnn Rimes songs. Admit it...LeAnn's voice on anything makes it golden! The only song I can think of that's key to the movie but missing from either soundtrack album is Kid Rock's "Cowboy". A great song (I have it on another album), but understandable if it couldn't be added because of issues of licensing or popularity (or explicit lyrics?). So let's give some more credit to Jerry, Piper, LeAnn, Izabella, Bridget, Maria, Tyra, and all the musical artists represented on this album. If you are any kind of fan of Coyote Ugly, then you should really get this CD to compliment your original soundtrack and to make your Coyote Ugly media collection complete!

Almost as good as the first ....,

I feel that this album sort of completes the soundtrack. I was surprised not to see Blondie's "One Way Or Another" on the original soundtrack! Georgia Satellites & the Stray Cats (Rock This Town) round it out nicely. I'm not a fan, however, of the versions of LeAnn Rimes' songs on this album ("Can't Fight the Moonlight" & "But I Do Love You") -- the originals were MUCH better done in my opinion. All in all, if you were a fan of the movie and the first soundtrack, I don't think you'll be at all disappointed in this CD. Enjoy! *Ü*

OK, its not as good as the original Coyote Ugly soundtrack but it is almost, there are some great songs on here including Fastball & Georgia Satellites etc. but there are still some songs from the film that are not on either soiundtrack, such as Uncle Kracker - Follow Me & Unwritten Law - Cailin (which is an excellent song if you have heard it). If you really love the film and the first soundtrack, you should really buy this album
