4.0 out of 5 stars Audrey Martells - Hate The Playaz sends this boat home
More Music From Save The Last Dance is really good, matchs the original one. All the song are pretty good but once you hear Audrey Martells' "Hate The Playaz" you'll know you made a good decision on buying it. The soundtrack has the same vibe that made the other soundtrack so great. Other favorites on the CD are Blaqout - You Really Don't Want Some, Shawty Redd - Let's...

More Music From Save The Last Dance is really good, matchs the original one. All the song are pretty good but once you hear Audrey Martells' "Hate The Playaz" you'll know you made a good decision on buying it. The soundtrack has the same vibe that made the other soundtrack so great. Other favorites on the CD are Blaqout - You Really Don't Want Some, Shawty Redd - Let's Get Crunk, and Jesse Powell - I Can Tell. Here my review of the whole CD:

1. Method Man & Redman - Da Rockwilder - Would except anything less from these guys. Great way to start off the CD. 8/10

2. Shawty Redd - Let's Get Crunk - Offers everything Track 1 has but has more energy. Reminds me of DMX's "What My Name?" 8.5/10

3. World Beaters - So Special - This song is okay but it kind of annoys me. It has wasted potiental. 6.5/10

4. Audrey Martells - Hate The Playaz - By far the best song on the CD, and to think, she sings back-up for people? No, she needs to be put in the driver's seat more offer. Gotta pick this CD up if only for this song. 10/10

5. Ta-Gana - Dance Floor - Beats good, kinda weak vocals but I'll leave it on every once in a while. 7/10

6. Jesse Powell - I Can Tell - First more mellow song on the CD, definately a good choice to add to the CD. 8.5/10

7. Angela Ammons - When It Doesn't Matter - In this R&B and Hip-hop dominate CD I really didn't want to hear a song like this but it is not that bad. 7/10

8. Sy Smith - Do Things - Nice song but I can barely hear the beat. 7.5/10

9. Fat Moon Scoop - Where Ya At - A lot like Track 2 but it gets edged out. 7.5/10

10. Medina Green - Bust Off - Funky beat, something new in a world of some bland beats. 8/10

11. Blaqout - You Don't Really Want Some - Probably the 2nd best song on here. When R&B is blended perfectly with Hip-Hop you can get a great song like this one. 9/10

12. Jr. Youing - The song brings it home with the chorus. Good song. 8.5/10

13. Blaqout - In For Cream - I'm glad Blaqout got another song on the CD. Definately deserves it. 8.5/10

Overall this CD is a great mix of some great R&B and Hip-Hop songs. This soundtrack is one of my faovrites. But if you like this CD you would like these one or if you have these one, you'll like More Music...: Romeo Must Die Soudtrack, Save The Last Dance Soundtrack, Dr. Dolittle Soundtrack, or the Charlie's Angels Soundtrack. Pick this one, you'll like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great soundtrack full of variety!, June 16, 2001
This review is from: More Music from Save the Last Dance (Audio CD)
The main reason I purchased the soundtrack for the standout track cowritten and sung by Angela Ammons, "When It Doesn't Matter". However, I found the whole cd full of variety.

This soundtrack features great dance songs as well as slow tunes. Methodman/Redman's "Da Rockwilder" will have everybody jamming to at a party. Jesse Powell's "I Can Tell" is a smooth rnb flavored track that's great to groove to. Best of all, Ta-Gana's "Dance Floor" should become a club classic.

"More Music.. to Save The Last Dance" is a fantastic soundtrack!

I also agree that they left out one of the great songs.. What most people think is True Colours by Mase. But the song is actually by Fredro Starr song: Shining Through....
