5.0 out of 5 stars four more great stories by the best storyteller alive, January 21, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: More News from Lake Wobegon: Faith (Audio Cassette)
On this cassette, Garrison Keillor writes four stories that range from the absurd "Pontoon Boat", to the poignant "O death", to the delightfully real "Smokes" to the irreverent "Let Us Pray". They are definitely all keepers, and if you have the appreciation for Keillor's unquestioned genius, then you will enjoy these stories as much as I do.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wobegon when I heard this!, January 20, 2011
I have the Lake Wobegon USA CDs and listen to them again and again, and just love the stories. This set (Faith) I purchased a couple of years ago. I was so excited to listen to it with my sister and brother-in-law in the car and I gave it such a glowing report based on how much I enjoyed the Lake Wobegon USA CDs, and was so excited to introduce them to Garrison Keillor stories. Well, we listened to Faith and EVERYONE was so disappointed. It wasn't the same great story mix of funny and touching - it was painful to listen to Mr. Keillor going on and on about death! Finally, I voiced my disappointment and my family was relieved because no one liked it, they didn't want to hurt my feelings, and they had been more than eager to press the eject button! I eventually gave the Faith CDs to my nephew who is a fan of Garrison Keillor and didn't really believe me when I told him how bad it was. In the future, I'd like to hear other selections from Garrison Keillor, but I'm hesitant now because this one was so disappointing.
