5.0 out of 5 stars Great follow-up, with one added bonus, February 18, 2008
This review is from: More Quick Team-Building Activities for Busy Managers: 50 New Exercises That Get Results in Just 15 Minutes (Paperback)
This book is similar to Miller's first book of teambuilding activities. Once again, all the activities are quick, easy to manage and require few props. Even though I really liked his first book and go to it frequently, I was a bit reluctant to pick this second one up, fearing that maybe these activities weren't on par with the first volume. I was wrong. They are every bit as fun and effective as those in the first book. So now I have 100 activities to choose from. Also, an added bonus in this book is that he also adds tips for adapting many of the activities for what he calls virtual teams--groups of co-workers that are not located in the same geographic location. I used one once for an expanded project team that I'm a part of and it worked well.

This volume is every bit as good as Brian Miller's first collection of activities. He uses the same simple-to-follow format, and avoids any silly or embarrassing activities. While the activities are designed for managers in a business environment, they could easily be used by girl scout troops, school groups, church groups or in most any team setting.

More Quick Team-Building Activities for Busy Managers: 50 New Exercises That Get Results in Just 15 Minutes

As a manager, but especially as a management trainer/presenter, I found "Quick Team-Building Activities for Busy Managers" to be a quite effective tool. It wasn't a difficult decision therefore to purchase "More". A few of the activities cannot be completed within 15 minutes but this is a minor criticism. I appreciate the detailed instructions on how to do each activity including warnings on what could go wrong and how to respond in such situations. There is even a primer at the beginning of the book that provides a wealth of relevant information, tips and strategies about using games. Many of the activities themselves are quite good and often a lot of fun as well! I would recommend this book to a variety of leaders including mangers, trainers/presenters, and youth or religious leaders.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Return on Investment, July 4, 2009
This review is from: More Quick Team-Building Activities for Busy Managers: 50 New Exercises That Get Results in Just 15 Minutes (Paperback)
As a corporate director of human resources I was very pleased with the theme and of this book. I am continually searching for new items that will `break the ice" and result in improved team building.

As all of us realize that the old saying `time is money' has never been more true, the ideas and suggestions in this book can a lot of money in a very short time span. What a wonderful ROI.

I might also suggest another book great ROI book, S-T-R-E-T-C-H Your Rewards Budget: Maximize the Return on Your Employee Recognition Investment] and [[ASIN:1895186048 101 Ways to Reward Team Members for $20 (or Less!)

I hope you find this review helpful.
